Payal Khanna is responsible for handling all legal and compliance matters for Volvo Cars’ business operations in India. Prior to that, she worked with PepsiCo India for 9 years where she was responsible for handling all India business and litigation support for the beverages and foods division of the company. She has extensive experience of 14 years working with prominent law firms and as in-house legal counsel handling complex legal issues relating to Company Law, FEMA, Data Privacy, Food Safety, Consumer Protection, Labour Laws, Indirect Taxation, Transfer Pricing, et al. She has successfully handled general corporate matters and litigation support for diverse industry sectors. Payal is very innovative and had even led the Goods & Services Tax (GST) implementation for PepsiCo India. She prefers to use technology to address operational challenges of lawyers such as online tools for contract drafting, litigation management, etc. A law graduate from Amity Law School in New Delhi, Payal is a second-generation lawyer. Her parents are renowned practicing advocates at the Supreme Court and the Delhi High Court. When not working, Payal loves spending time with her family, traveling, and dancing.
